Destiny- Variks the Loyal Cosplay

Variks the Loyal cosplay. Everything about the costume was hand built and contains different materials, such as EVA foam, leather, latex, 3D print plastic, fish netting, chainmail, vinyl plastic/ leather and a wide array of airbrush, acrylic and spray paint. The foam helmet was installed with blinking LED eyes to give off the illusion of 4 alien eyes, in which I was able to see through. The prostatic hands have been made out of liquid latex, in which they are rigged to a backpack. The top two arms were made in a hinge system to give them a mechanical feel. The lower two arms were built out of vinyl leather and stuffing. The costume contains two props- the Dreg's Promise sidearm (made out of foam) and a 7' walking staff (PVC/foam). The costume has an integrated speaker that plays audio from the character Variks, in which I edited them down to interactive voice lines that I was able to control. The entirety of the costume was weathered using paint and scoring techniques to achieve the characters appearance.
This costume has won numerous 1st place awards across the East coast, such as Gaming community Expo 2022 and Big Lick Comic Con 2022.
